How To Save On Eliquis

Eliquis (apixaban) is a medication that prevents platelets in blood from sticking together to form clots. It is prescribed to stop blood clots from forming within arteries. Eliquis is typically given for conditions of atrial fibrillation, pulmonary embolism (PE), and to prevent deep vein thrombosis (DVT) from occurring after knee and hip surgeries.

There is currently no generic medication offered for Eliquis. A single month’s supply can run anywhere from $300 to $400, for the uninsured. Even with insurance, co-pays begin to add up, considering that many are prescribed Eliquis over a long period of time.

Patients can begin to see some financial relief at the pharmacy by comparing prices at their local pharmacies and by downloading a free Eliquis coupon.
